In Memory Of Brian Lillard
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Brian Lillard, a beloved friend, mentor, and cornerstone of Merrifield Exteriors.
Brian’s story with Merrifield Exteriors began before the company even had a name. In 2007, when Mark Merrifield was just starting out, Brian was right there beside him ready to build something meaningful. For nearly two decades, Brian helped shape this company into what it is today, not just through his exceptional carpentry, but through his unwavering loyalty, sense of humor, and deep friendship.
Brian wasn’t just a coworker, he was family. He was the kind of guy you always wanted on the job: steady, skilled, dependable, and full of heart.
Outside of work, Brian was just as remarkable. He was a devoted husband to Heidi and a proud, loving father to Bobby and Blake. He was a lifelong fan of the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and especially the Cincinnati Reds, sharing that passion with his son at every opportunity.
In honor of Brian and his love for the Reds, we’ve placed a 3-inch red “B” on every one of our work trucks. It’s a small symbol, but it means everything to us—a reminder that Brian is still riding with us to every job, just like he always did.
Brian helped build this company from the ground up, and we will never forget the impact he had on all of us—personally and professionally. His spirit, craftsmanship, and friendship are woven into everything we do.
Rest easy, Brian. You will always be a part of Merrifield Exteriors.
